WELCOME TO SECOND CHURCH OF CHRIST!

We're glad you've taken the time to learn more about us. We'd love for you to join us on a Sunday. If you're new to Second, or if you're just checking things out, let us answer some questions you might have.

WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED?

Second Church is the church on the curve of Voorhees St. and Lynch Rd on the east side of Danville. For a map, click here.

WHAT TIME DO SERVICES START?

Our worship services begin at 8:00, 9:20 and 10:45. Our main service is in the Worship Center during all three hours. Our Next Gen service is at 9:20 & 10:45 in the Next Gen Auditorium. This service is geared to late teens, 20's and 30's, but anyone is welcome.

WHAT ARE SERVICES LIKE?

While there are different elements to every service, there are certain things that are the same. There will be a live band with upbeat God-centered music. Feel free to sing with us. There will be a relevant message based off of verses in the Bible to challenge you and encourage you. We celebrate communion every week as a way to remember the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. We take up an offering to support the ministry that happens here as well as our outreach partners' efforts locally, nationally and globally.

WHAT DO I WEAR?

We're a pretty casual church. Some will wear suits and ties while others will wear jeans and a t-shirt. We want you to be comfortable when you're here, so wear whatever you'd like.

WHAT DO MY KIDS DO?

We offer Kids World programming for children during the 9:20 and 10:45 service hours, including a safe and secure nursery and preschool. For more information on our Kids World programs, and what to do when you arrive, click here.

There is junior high programming (JHM) for 5th-8th grade students at 9:20. There is also a class for high school students (HSM) at 9:20 upstairs in Room 202. HSM also meets on Sunday nights at 5:00 mid-August through mid-May.

WHERE DO I GO WHEN I GET THERE?

There are two main entrances for your convenience, and the entrance doors are marked with a number. If you are attending our Next Gen service, or if you have children, you'll want to enter through Door 1 to the right of the carport on the south side of the building.

If you are attending one of the services in our main Worship Center, you can enter through Door 2 under the carport.

At both entrances, there will be friendly volunteers wearing teal shirts who will be happy to answer any questions you have or show you around. If you are new, please stop by Guest Connection and say hello! And feel free to stop by one of the kiosk's and grab a cup of coffee!

WILL I BE ASKED TO GIVE MONEY?

For those who are a part of Second Church, giving is an important part of our worship. If you are visiting with us, please don't feel any obligation to give.
