    We have several Small Groups that meet on a weekly or bi-weekly basis. If you want a chance to strengthen your relationship with Jesus while sharing with others, then this is a great opportunity for you. If you would like to join a group or start a new group, please contact Dale DeNeal.

    bible study

    Oasis is a Tuesday morning group that meets for fellowship and Bible study. This group is usually taught by Drew Mentzer and it is an in-depth study and discussion of the Bible. This study is open to anyone who would like to attend, and it meets at 10:00 am in Hallelujah Hall at the church building.     Man2Man is a ministry for men and by men at Second. Events are planned for fun and fellowship. Such events in the past have been golf outings, the annual Cast and Blast (fishing and shooting), bowling, a baseball game, canoeing, go carts, and a saturday morning breakfast. Man2Man ministries has also begun an Emergency Response Team which is prepared to work in Vermilion County in the event of some disaster. In the near future Man2Man is going to initiate a Helps Program to serve those in need of assistance within our congregation. Please email Bob Brewer to find out how you can get connected.

    Young at Heart is a Christian fellowship group formed to meet the social needs of church members 55 years and older, as well as their friends and neighbors.  

  • The Praying

    If Second Church of Christ is going to accomplish God's will, it is essential that we be a church and a people of prayer. To help with that The Praying _____ will be a team dedicated to praying for spiritual victories, and the spiritual health of the church. This will be a team that will make a difference in the life of the church and thus in the life of our communities.

    If you are looking for a way to live a more peaceful life, free from all of your hurts, hang-ups, and habits, become a part of a group of imperfect people who gather to learn and help each other in the struggles of today’s world. We share an amazing meal, fellowship, worship, and learn how to cope with each of our struggles.

    Celebrate Recovery is a 12-step, Christian-based program helping free anyone from their hurts, habits, or hang-ups. CR meets every Tuesday night at 5:30 p.m. in Next Gen.

    Sundays at 9:20 in the Cafe

    The Couples Class is geared toward couples in their 20’s and 30’s who are married, engaged or seriously dating.  This is a great way to get to know others in a smaller setting. Come check it out! If you have any questions, email Kiley Garrison.
