NEXT STEPS?
WELCOME HOME
This team provides help, support, and encouragement to new mothers right after the baby’s arrival. They provide a gift basket for the family, home cooked meals for a week, and parenting aids. They follow the child through his/her first birthday.
CARD AND PRAYER MINISTRY
This group sends cards or remembers in prayer, those who are sick, need encouragement, or who are bereaved.
CHRISTIAN ENCOURAGERS
This group visits our at-home and nursing home shut-ins and friends on a weekly basis either individually or with a friend. They also remember them with cards on birthdays, holidays and other special occasions.
NEW BEGINNINGS
This is for the brides in our congregation. We provide a beautiful “Bride’s Box” containing devotional books and gift items for the bride and groom.
WOMEN'S CIRCLES
These women provide meals for the sick following a hospital stay or long illness, or other unusual circumstance. A circle is “on call” for one month at a time.
SERVICE MINISTRIES
Some other programs include: Meals on Wheels (delivered every Tuesday and Friday), Pleasant Meadows Christian Village (the 4th Tuesday of each month), Schultz House Ministry (every Thursday at 4pm to Worship), and Funeral Dinners.
OPPORTUNITIES TO GROW
WOMEN IN THE WORD
There is a Women’s Bible Study that gives an opportunity for women to grow in knowledge of the Lord and His word, that meets Thursday mornings in Hallelujah Hall from Oct. to May.
CHRISTIAN BOOK CLUB
Books are chosen for a year at a time, and made available in the church library, the women’s bulletin Board, and in our church library for women to pick up. This group gets together to discuss the book they are reading at a given time and share thoughts, feelings, and ideas. This is a great way to have fun and fellowship with other women in the church.
WOMEN OF GRACE
"Women of Grace" is for women living without support (single, divorced, or widowed) in our congregation and community. This group meets on the second Thursday of each month for lunch, fellowship, fun, and encouragement.
CONFERENCES AND SEMINARS
Second women’s ministry attends retreats, conferences, and seminars for fellowship, encouragement, and growth throughout the year.
WOMEN'S GATHERINGS
Women’s Gatherings are a time of fellowship. We have 5 each year: Impact, Ladies Spring Luncheon, Bella Madre, Bring Your Own Friend (BYOF), and Fall Craft Night. Women are encouraged to help in planning and preparation and to come and share and enjoy each of these events.
